Gilberto Gil, one of the most well known Brazilian music legends, and former Minister of Culture of Brazil, brought his family for an unforgettable sold out summer night at the Barbican Centre. And when I say family, I mean it: children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gil is celebrating 80 years old and his energy on stage is contagious and invigorating. During the concert, I could only think that this is the Brazil we’re proud of. The celebration of culture is such a powerful experience.
Gil, thank you so much for all the love and hope you spread that night. We are on the right track.
